I’ve said that this blog post was coming, it just took a little bit longer to get up this time because of James and I moving this month. Thank you all for your patience! I promise it was worth the wait! 😉
So as I mentioned back in RayVen and Drew’s engagement session, I met RayVen through Facebook and after chatting awhile, we decided to meet up in person to go over their wedding details. From the first few moments of meeting them, I knew that we were going to work out and I could not wait to capture their wedding.
Everything was perfect for their wedding… Seriously! Even despite 100 degree weather, nothing could stop this day from being perfect! The wedding details were beautiful, her dress even made me tear up when she brought it out. Everything was antique, vintage, and oh so romantic… You will also notice that there are plenty of close ups on the gorgeous ring that Drew bought her too! James had field day with those details!
This wedding was one of the most emotional ones I’ve captured… RayVen has a close relationship with both of her parents and her mother-in-law. The tears that were shed were ones of true happiness and love. One of my favorite moments was when RayVen’s mother-in-law choked back tears as she lovingly told RayVen that her son was now RayVen’s to love and cherish. It honestly makes me want to cry just thinking about it… A mother’s love is so strong and that moment was so special.
Then there was the emotional first look between daddy and daughter… And then, RayVen made him cry as she read the sweetest letter that she had written him for the wedding day. I’m telling you, I was a mess behind the camera!
The ceremony was beautiful, even their pastor shed some tears as he united them in marriage. From there everyone sent them off with bubbles and then we did pictures. The reception was fantastic and they had some of the best food! Seriously… The ladies who made the food did an incredible job!!! I heard it was their first time serving that many people too! The DJ kept the night going with fun clapping, cheering people on, and music. All over, it was a beautiful wedding and I am so honored to have captured it!
Thank you RayVen and Drew for entrusting me with your wedding. It was such an honor to be there and celebrate with you! RayVen, you have become a true friend through this process. I look forward to many more years of staying in touch!
Thanks to all who actually read through my story and made it to the end. Enjoy the images now! 😉
