Oh boy was this a fun and gorgeous wedding to capture! May 20th, James and I packed the car and drove up to the old part of St. Louis to meet up with David and Lora for their wedding. Everyone got ready over at a hotel and then we went around downtown St. Louis to capture the first look and photos of the wedding party. It was a perfect, gorgeous spring day for a wedding!
One of the details I wanted to mention were the sweet gifts that Lora and David exchanged before their first look. Lora had a gorgeous watch for David that had an inscription on the back that said, “I love you every minute of every day”. David gave Lora a bracelet to match her wedding ring. As you’ll see in the pictures, Lora’s ring has red rubies in it. I’ve never captured a couple exchanging gifts on a wedding day, so it was something extra special!
We headed over to the Keener Plaza in downtown St. Louis where David and Lora had their first look. From there, we headed to Busch Stadium were we captured pictures of the wedding party. David and Lora are big St. Louis Cardinals fans, so we had to get pictures there! Then we got into the cars and drove to the Lemp Mansion where they had a tent set up for the ceremony. Lemp Mansion is stunning and provided so many backdrops for pictures! The music started and people began walking down the aisle. Then the surprise happened! Lora and David had their dog standing in as the “flower dog”! Haha! She was a little bashful with all the people watching, but she calmed down when Lora walked down the aisle. As Lora walked down the aisle, David got choked up. It was so precious! You could just feel the love these two had for each other!
After their ceremony was over, we went off for more pictures around town and then headed to the Lemp Loft for their reception. The whole day was beautiful and so memorable!
David and Lora, I wish you two the very best in your married lives together! Married life is grand and wonderful and I know it will suit you well!
